Dine: Outdoor Dining

Astoria is not known for days on end of bright sunshine but when the temps warm up and the sun is shining, you can bet you’ll find the locals right along with the tourists soaking in the rays.

With over 45 eateries in downtown, you’ve got plenty of choices to get your fill.  When it comes to outdoor seating, we’ve got some great options.

Coffee and a pastry can be enjoyed al fresco from Street 14 Café, the Astoria Coffeehouse and Bistro, and The Rusty Cup all with excellent people watching. If you’re after a nosh and a river view, we recommend Mo’s Chowder, Buoy Beer Co., or Astoria Brewing all serving food and beverages on the mighty Columbia.

Plus, Oregon and food carts go hand in hand and downtown enjoys a bustling selection of windows offering tasty food. Across from the Garden of Surging Waves at 11th and Duane, you’ll find a pod of carts including: Coffee OR Waffle, Pizzuti’s Pizza, Roll & Bowl, Surf 2 Soul, and The Good Bowl.

Down the way at 13th and Duane Streets, you’ll find another pod anchored by Reach Break Brewing. ‘Astoria Station’ as it’s called collectively, includes Sasquatch Sausage, Mai Tong Thai, and the CSX Fish Cart.

Many other restaurants have a couple of tables outside to enjoy nice weather including Himani Indian Cuisine, Tokyo Teriyaki, Fort George Brewery & Public House, T. Paul's Urban Café, South Bay Wild Fish House, and the Merry Time Bar & Grill.
