Next Astoria Cash Mob Slated for July 18

Sat, Jul 14, 2012

The Astoria Downtown Historic District Association (ADHDA) has just announced that this month’s Cash Mob will be on Wednesday, July 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Mob will gather at the Liberty Theater at 11:30 a.m. At the gathering point the Cash Mob destination will be disclosed and then we will walk to it for a quick shopping spree. And if you can’t get out of work until noon, don’t worry! A sign will be left at the Liberty and a post will be made to our Facebook page announcing the cash mob destination in case you miss us. Come and support your downtown!

This is one of monthly cash mobs organized by ADHDA. A cash mob is a group of people who assemble at a local business and buy items from that business. The purpose is to support the local businesses and the overall community. Cash Mob destinations will continue to be chosen by drawing a business card from the cards collected at the monthly ADHDA general meetings. Monthly meetings occur on the first Friday of the month at 8:30 a.m. at Baked Alaska. Come to the next meeting on Friday, August 3 with a business card for a chance to be mobbed next!
