Cash Mob

The Astoria Downtown Historic District Association (ADHDA) has just announced that this month’s Cash Mob will be on Saturday, January 12th, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Mob will gather at the Liberty Theater at 4:45 p.m. then at 5:00 p.m.the Cash Mob will head to Terra Stones on 951 Commercial St.for a quick shopping spree. A sign will be left at the Liberty stating the location if you can't make it right at 5:00. Come and support your downtown!

A cash mob is a group of people who assemble at a local business and buy items from that business. The purpose is to support the local businesses and the overall community. Cash Mob destinations will continue to be chosen by drawing a business card from the cards collected at the monthly ADHDA general meetings. Monthly meetings occur on the first Friday of the month at 8:30 a.m. at Baked Alaska. Come to the next meeting on Friday, Feb. 1st  with a business card for a chance to be mobbed next!
