Wed, Feb 05, 2014

Astoria Downtown Historic District Association held their 2nd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Night and Awards Ceremony, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Fort George Brewery and Public House Taproom.

Hosted by the Organization Committee of ADHDA, the Volunteer Appreciation Night is ADHDA’s way of saying “thank you” to the countless and outstanding volunteers who made 2013 a standout year for the organization.  Special recognition was given to Kevin Leahy, Regina Willkie, Mitch Mitchum, Paul Tuter, Ray Merritt, Polk and Patricia Riley, Cyndi Mudge, David Reid, and the Brew Cup Committee: Dan Bartlett, Greg Cross, Regina Willkie, Jennifer Holen, Dulcye Taylor, Jack Harris, and Brian Bovenizer.

“The Pat Award,” which recognizes an individual with outstanding volunteer spirit, was awarded to Dan Bartlett.  The award was first given to Pat Saunders in 2011 to honor her generous and dedicated community spirit and enthusiasm for ADHDA.  In her memory, ADHDA gives this award to the volunteer who has gone above and beyond in the past year.  Past recipients have included Mary Ritter.
