Does Your Bark Have Bite? Give Us Your Best Sea Lion Call!

Last year the ADHDA introduced a couple of whacky new events to our “Hot Summer Day & Night” line-up which included the “0K Marathon” (we’re taking it the legal limit this year with a 0.08K! See more details in a separate post) and our surprise hit – the Sea Lion Calling Contest! Look, we all know the piles of slippery sea puppies that like to vacation here in Astoria can be QUITE LOUD! If you’ve stayed in one of our riverside hotels, you may have even noticed a pair of earplugs suggestively left on your bedside. Well, here’s your chance to get some revenge and bark back!

With both an adult and kid division, we offer the chance for anyone to come up on stage and give their best impression of our noisy aquatic neighbors for a chance to win prizes! No experience necessary, just be willing to give it your all… and boy did last years’ participants bring their "A Game"! The fun will start July 16th at 6:30pm on the Buoy Beer patio. We start taking signups at 6:00 and are limiting entires to 20 spots in each division so make sure you get there early! Will “Big Kahuna” be able to defend his title this year?
